Our New Garage Door!

Like the cherry on top, the diamond earrings, the final touch. We are beyond excited to share with you guys our new garage door! We have been working with Clopay Doors for almost a year to make this vision come to life, and it has been so worth the wait. If you have been following along on our Instastory, you have definitely seen me posting about this and how excited we have been about this project!

A big thank you to Wallace + Wallace, the team that installed the door and hauled away the old one within 4 hours (wow!).

We mostly completed our exterior reno last summer, and I was honestly just going to keep cropping out our old white garage door from every photo like it was my day job. Little did I know, a new garage door was exactly what was needed to make our home really stand out.

I kept having trouble between deciding whether to do a black garage door, and paint our front door a fun colour or to do a wood-look garage door and paint our front door black. In the end, we chose a black front door to keep a seamless look with our storm door (a necessity for us in summer), and to have an accent garage door. It was definitely the right choice.

We chose the Modern Style Faux-Wood Garage Door from Clopay and this product has unbeatable quality. The door is insulated (which is super necessary in Canada) and is made of a faux-wood overlay material that will not warp or crack or rot. You can fully customize every aspect of the garage door; from the plank size and colour, to the windows and even the frosting.

For our home, we chose the mahogany medium finish and the long windows running down the right side of the garage door because it had the most modern look and really balanced out our home.
