Cello Good Lookin'
So we fell completely into the millennial stereotype and “treat yourself” (hah, treated ourselves) this past weekend. We finally got an appropriately sized sofa for our living room and we got it for one heck of a good deal! Now we are able to move our large sectional downstairs where we were desperately needing a comfy cozy sectional.
And for reference, this is our living room before:
This was a classic example of how you cannot expect furniture from your previous home to transition into your current space. In our main living area the large sectional felt very heavy, slouchy, and blocked a ton of natural light from our windows. I’m so happy to have a new sofa that is so clean, simple and an appropriate size! This sectional fits so much better in our lower level where we watch TV and nap (yes we have a TV and no you have never seen it anywhere).
We were deciding between 3 sofas; the Berg from Urban Barn, the Gaba from Article and the Cello from Eq3. They all had a similar style, cream coloured fabric, deep cushions and are low to the ground (super essential so the puppies can’t nudge their toys underneath). We loved the simplicity of the Cello sofa, the clean lines and the memory foam cushions are also to die for! And when we got such a good deal on the price, it was impossible to pass up!
It’s just simply perfection and was completely meant for this space.
So anyway you guys, we got SUCH A GOOD DEAL on this sofa, seriously, the best deal ever!!! I always try and buy everything on sale but this deal legit blows my mind.
In Winnipeg we are super lucky to have the Eq3 Clearance Outlet where they sell display, slightly damaged, photoshoot or ordering error furniture for 30%-90% off the retail price. We knew we wanted a Cello sofa in a creamy/neutral color and the wonderful team at the outlet took down our name, and said they would call us whenever an item that matched was in. I honestly wasn’t expecting a phone call but after a month and a half they phoned us and said they had a couch for us to look at! The reason the sofa was sent to the outlet is because it was accidentally made in the wrong fabric for a client, and they cancelled their order. So we were able to profit from someone else’s mistake and purchase this BRAND NEW sofa for $1000 off the retail cost!
The fabric is called Panama Natural and the sofa is 88” wide. The Cello sells in stores brand new for $2199 and at the outlet we paid $1199. We also got our marble dinette table from the outlet as well for $400 during a tent sale (retails for $1099). Such. Good. Deals.
I cannot get over how much better it fits the space and how much brighter and lighter everything feels. Oh, and its Opie approved and that’s all that matters anyway.
