Our Bathroom Budget Breakdown

ACS_0202.jpeg

So now that our bathroom renovation is complete, how much did it all cost?

Check out the full reveal here, and the progress post here!

We are very pleased to say that we completed a full gut and renovation with almost brand new everything for $2000. Yes for $2000! After our big exterior renovation last year our budget is pretty tight for future renovations, so we are super happy that we kept this renovation on budget.

The reason we were able to keep this remodel under such a tight budget is because we did everything ourselves and didn’t have to pay any labour. The second reason we kept it on budget is that we waited for sales for literally everything (even the drywall mud and light bulbs). Lowe’s always has a “buy more save more” sale, where you can get everything for 10-15% off, and it’s just a matter of waiting for the next sale.

We also focused more of our funds to items that would have a dramatic impact on the final look of the bathroom. The mid-century dresser was the most expensive item we purchased, but I am beyond happy to splurge on an item that creates such a custom look. We saved on the tile backsplash by using an off the shelf tile that was very affordable, and spent a little more on the flooring tile because it compliments the space perfectly.

Here’s how much everything cost:
